Modern Kids Photography focuses on the wonder, complexity, and joy of childhood. Sarah Wert founded Modern Kids Photography in 2009. Having worked as a photographer for over ten years, she wanted to push the limits of traditional children's photography beyond the forced smiles, awkward poses, and overly manipulated images that permeate the industry. Modern Kids Photography is about capturing real moments that show the unique personalities of modern families. Sarah has gathered a team of talented photographers across the United States. In addition to photography sessions, they also offer workshops twice a year in San Francisco for parents who want to hone their digital photography skills. Sarah Wert lives and works in San Francisco. Sarah has photographed for companies like Amazon, Wired and Condé Nast but loves to work for fun, modern families. What is your idea of Fabulous?
SW: A delicious dinner with friends. I could make that even more fabulous by hosting that dinner in the South of France.
Who is the most Fabulous person you know?
SW: My three year old niece, Elsa. She's got so much style and a serious addiction to shoes.
Which Fabulous word do you use most?
SW: Awesome! I definitely overuse that word.
What is your greatest (most Fabulous) extravagance?
SW: Cameras and modern furniture
Where would you like or prefer to live your Fabulous life?
SW: I love San Francisco but hopefully one day my husband and I will have a second home in the country.
What do you consider your greatest (most Fabulous) achievement?
SW: Continually doing things that are our of my comfort zone, launching my business, and marrying such a wonderful man.
What is your (Fabulous) motto?
SW: Life is way too short! Stop making excuses and create the life you desire.
