Bilingual's signature prints and striking color combinations remind us of exotic, far off lands: A pink sunrise against the blue lagoon in Bali or the calming, green palm trees against the sapphire oceans in Baja. Bilingual is a celebration of designer Jacqueline Floro's diverse background, world travels, and her careers in New York City and Los Angeles. Growing up in the small town of Amherst, Ohio in the 80's, Floro's only exposure to the allure and mystery of international travel was the "European" make-up she bought at the local drug store. After spending her senior year of high school as a foreign exchange student in Madrid and studying in France during her college years, Floro was inspired to enter the fashion industry. Upon graduating college, Floro sent her resume directly to lingerie designer, Josie Natori. Two weeks later she moved to New York City to start her career there. She continued to gain more experience at Polo Ralph Lauren and New York & Company in positions ranging from sales, merchandising, buying, PR and production.
