TisF Spends Five Fabulous Minutes with D. Graham Kostic.
D. Graham Kostic works at the Style Editor at Modern Luxury Magazines, producing fashion shoots for the award-winning publisher of the regional luxury lifestyle magazine brand. He's at the helm of what's hot and in vogue, rolling out pages of content each month for the company's vast collection of glossy monthly books. He's also a strong contributor to Modern Luxury's Interiors, Brides and Men's publications.
In addition to his position at Modern Luxury, Kostic serves as Host and Creative Director of the website Glossed & Found (www.glossedandfound.com), a weekly video e-zine that highlights the crème de la crème in the fashion, beauty and entertainment industries. Past interviews have been with Zac Posen, Sue Devitt, Elizabeth Hurley, Miss Piggy (yes, for real!), Gela Nash-Taylor, Charlie Trotter, and Isaac Mizrahi, to name a few. His candid and off-the-cuff interviews offer fashion-lovers a behind-the-scenes peek as A-listers dish their style secrets.
TisF caught up with Graham at the Italian Touch party hosted by Tod's Chicago. What is your idea of Fabulous?
DGK: Being fabulous is really a matter of being confident. it's knowing yourself and carrying yourself off without effort. That is fabulous.
Who is the most Fabulous person you know?
DGK: My sister Sarah. Talk about effortless-she oozes cool. Close seconds? My mother; my best friends Sam and Chance; anyone who has a talk show.
Which Fabulous word do you use most?
DGK: 'Seriously!' Which means 'That's Sick!' which means 'I Love That!'
What is your greatest (most Fabulous) extravagance?
DGK: I'll spend whatever on my niece and nephews.
Where would you like or prefer to live your Fabulous life?
DGK: I love Chicago because my family is close and I can live in a really kick-ass place and still have money left over to drink champagne and antique shop on the weekends. Someday, I'd love to live in Paris or Tokyo.
What do you consider your greatest (most Fabulous) achievement?
DGK: Currently? Seeing the evolution of Glossedandfound.com as a small style-blog turned weekly video e-zine that just celebrated its first anniversary this past June and is now launching in Houston and Nashville. I log on and stare at the site and it's just a great feeling to have helped start something from scratch with a distinct and unique voice-Seriously!
What is your (Fabulous) motto?
DGK: If you can't laugh about it, then you're really missing out.
