TisF is dazzled by Daslu!
Internationally renowned as one of a kind style haven due to its sophisticated mix of glamour fashion, excellence in its field and innovative services, Daslu is preparing to take a decisive step in its 49- year history of success. Latin America’s most exclusive boutique will leave its traditional São Paulo address in Vila Nova Conceição, where it currently spans 23 interconnected houses, and move across town to Vila Olimpia. At its new venue, to be inaugurated on June 4, Daslu will now concentrate all its designer brands and services under one Fabulous roof.
Created in 1958 by Lucia Piva de Albuquerque and Lourdes Aranha, from the very beginning the boutique won over its clients with a rare combination of ambiance and service. It was the boutique of boutiques, different from all others. Daslu’s intimate environment was more like a cozy corner where girlfriends met for an espresso and great shopping. Over time this “girlfriend’s corner” grew, gained a chic following, became a brand, began importing the very best of international fashion, created a men’s store, opened a baby boutique, started another for teens, and expanded to house wares and decoration. Today, the name Daslu is synonymous with lifestyle.
The new space comprised of a ground level and three floors, will boast all the characteristics that helped make Daslu one of the most successful concepts in the world of style and fashion. “The new Daslu is just Daslu with a little yeast. At the request of our clients, we will offer a broader array of services and novel spaces like restaurants, a spa and a beauty parlor,” says Eliana Tranchesi, president of the company.
In its new installations, stores and services will occupy 20,000 square meters (previously Daslu spanned 12, 5000 m2). The remaining 3,000 m2 will house an events center on the upper level, Daslu Terrace. Space distribution will follow the familiar and revered style of the old address. No long hallways or showcases, just an intimate atmosphere of interconnected rooms with large, illuminated gazebos, lounges with plush sofas, besides special rooms. As always, men are strictly prohibited from entering the women’s boutique of designer Brazilian brands. “We only changed our address,” sums up Donata Meirelles, the company’s international director.
