In tune with today’s fashion forward woman, the innovative creations of Chicago designer, Constance Marie (also known to her friends as Tina) are creating a stir. What is your idea of Fabulous?
CM: Fabulous is dancing with friends and moments with family. It’s seeing someone smile who’s just opened your gift. It’s the smell of freshly cleaned bed sheets. It’s waking up to the sun rising on the horizon where the beach meets the sky. It’s a long, reassuring hug. It’s feeling butterflies when you’re in love. It’s feeling beautiful and confident and strong. That’s fabulous!
Who is the most Fabulous person you know?
CM: My brother. When life deals the unexpected and often uncontrollable, there are few people I know who are as strong of heart and mind to withstand it all.
Which Fabulous word do you use most?
CM: Awesome. I don’t know why, but I find myself using this word all the time. And, why not? It’s the next best thing to ‘Fabulous’!
What is your greatest (most Fabulous) extravagance?
CM: If I must confess my reckless spending - shoes! Traveling comes in at a close second!
Where would you like or prefer to live your Fabulous life?
CM: If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be where the beach was my backyard, and just a short drive away would be the opportunity to experience amazing restaurants, great art, live theatre, diverse neighborhoods and unique shopping.
What do you consider your greatest (most Fabulous) achievement?
CM: In 30 to 40 years, if I can look myself in the mirror and truthfully say that I’ve used my knowledge and shared my experiences wisely to make a significant contribution to society, then I will be able to answer this question. I am constantly striving to learn more and experience more things. I feel that every encounter is a stepping stone to something else. I am just trying to take the steps today to be able to celebrate that great achievement tomorrow.
What is your Fabulous motto?
CM: I can’t say it’s just one: Everything happens for a reason. People will not care how much you know, until they know how much you care. And for relationships - let your intuition and spirit save you from heartache.
