The Colony Palms Hotel is situated in the heart of Palm Springs, California, on the western edge of the Coachella Valley, only a short two-hour drive from Los Angeles and five minutes from the Palm Springs International Airport.  Located next to the town's infamous movie colony, the hotel is within walking distance from the city's historic shopping strip. 

Originally built in 1936, the Spanish-style Colony Palms completed a $17 million dollar renovation in the spring of 2007 to all guestrooms and public spaces. The newly refurbished hotel includes a new poolside restaurant, The Purple Palm, and will feature an intimate spa facility, speakeasy and fitness center.

Recently renovated, Dar Darma has been restored preserving the valuable elements decorating the interiors as the hand-painted wooden ceilings, the delightful plasterwork  and the precious ancient portals.

When a partner at Blackstone wanted advice on how to take his family on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Alaska, he called the same person who had just helped a fund manager looking for a Christmas rental more spectacular than Richard Branson's private Necker Island: Melissa Biggs Bradley, founder of Indagare.  Bradley was the travel editor at Town & Country for almost a dozen years.  She knows the world's hot travel spots and has relationships with the people who can make a stay extraordinary.
